The "No Problem What So Ever" Nation...

Like all muslims in my country Egypt...i woke up early in the morning, took a shower...dressed well, and went down to attend the Friday prayer...

And like all muslims in my country Egypt...i went to the mosque to find all my fellow Egyptian muslims,well-seated,either praying to God,or reading the Holy Quran in a wonderful spiritual scene...waiting for the "Imam" to give his Friday Lecture...

And like all muslims in my country Egypt...i spent about one hour and half of my life listening to an absolutly pointless lecture...

I mean...today's lecture was about that we should love "Mecca"!!???
Why??
Beause God and his Prophet loves it...and that shouldn't contradict with the fact that we should love our countries!?

And for extra more fun, when he was finished with that issue,,he started arguing that the "Egyptian National Team" should never be given a lisience "NOT" to fast in the month of Ramadan,,if they are playing in a tournment during Ramadan (as some scholars say it's okay not to fast as they are considered working for the Nation).

By the way am not againist saying all of that in a Friday lecture,,nor do i argue those things,as am not a scholar, and the "Imam" might be right in all what he said.

I just have one question...
Is this the time for all of this...don't we have any problems in our life,,except that we should love "Mecca" more than any city in the world, and that we should not support our "National Team" if they didn't fast during the month of Ramadan??

I mean why our "Imams" don't talk about Poverty that's seen every where now in Egypt,or about the prices that rose 300% recently,or about the political corruption we live in,or about the gap that's getting bigger and bigger as time passes by between "the upper class" and "the lower class",as (thanks to our wise government the "middle-class" that made a connection between both classes vanished)...if i started writting some of our problems,i am scared i'll never finish...

But maybe they are scared...cause after all,,they are like most Egyptians, they want to live their life in peace, raise their children, eat, and sleep...but if it's so,i beg them not to talk about issues, completely unreasonable, and unappropriate for the time...

In the end that "Imam",was much better than the last Friday's prayer "Imam",,who was telling us,,that the brother shouldn't sleep beside his sister!!!

Thank you Sami Ben Gharbia...

I want to talk about Sami Ben Gharbia....

as i've to say,,although we never met,but that man inspired, and keep inspiring me...he is a man who couldn't stand depression, and unjustice in his country, and implace of "Shutting up",and living his life (like the majority of us),he decided to stand up and speak up his mind, even if this will cost him his life, his work, and his beloved country Tunisia...

Sami Ben Gharbia lives now in the Netherlands as political refuge...but even there he didn't stop, talking or "Speaking Up" his mind...

When reading his Blog,,i see,and feel how a strong man he is...that man didn't leave his thoughts, ideas, brain, and destiney,to be played with by his dictator, illegal president Ben-Ali....but faced him,,with words...a single man facing ,all by himself a whole regime..and his only weapon is words,,and sarcasticly it scares them...

i've made a short clip a long time ago called "Life",,which represents how we live in the arab world nowadays,,,and how our dictators, and their regimes control us,our fates, and destiney like puppets...it's about a piece of string held from a tree,,and the current is moving it back and forth...the difference between many of us,and Sami Ben Gharbia,is that we are just like the piece of string, but Sami has graped this piece of string with both his hands and moved it his way...

So Thank You Sami Ben Gharbia...

To begin with...

Well...

To begin with,

I've been thinking of creating a blog, for almost 7 months now...am not sure why...But i guess i am always fascinated by the fact that every one should "Speak Up" his mind...

And now that i've created one...i feel so "HAPPY" !!!!

As am a very "Lazy" person,,when it comes to get the work done,,it takes me so MUCH time to think and plan...but am happy with the result...

I'll try to speak up my mind, and express myself to the full...and i wish, that anyone who reads this blog, feels that he wants to do the same...

Cause that is what i feel when reading blogs like "Fikra","SaudiJeans","Mona el-Tahawy Blog",and "Global Voices"....those blogs and more inspired me...so i hope i can inspire you...
